Polar bears drowning? True or False?

This statement about polar bears drowning is true. It is true because of Global Warming. With the "warming" factor, the ice in the arctic is melting resulting in Polar bears to swim longer distances. Eventually the polar bear gets too tired...and you know what happens next.

Thesis statement.

Even though some people argue that global warming is not happening and it is just a phase that the earth is going through, there is evidence that since the Industrial Revolution the Earth’s temperature and amount of CO2 in the atmosphere has risen substantially. Kenneth Chang of the New York Times wrote in a 200- that, “most scientists believe the billions of tons of carbon dioxide released since the start of the Industrial Revolution are in part to blame for the one-degree rise in global temperatures over the past century.” This increase in temperature is already having detrimental effects on animals, for example Polar Bears are drowning and becoming thinner, as noted by the National Wildlife Federation:
Polar bears, like their favored springtime prey the ringed seal, depend heavily on sea ice for their survival. Polar bears move from ice flow to ice flow in search of the young seals. With rising temperatures, the thinning ice leaves fewer places for both the polar bears to hunt and the seals to raise their young.
In addition to a loss of habitat, the migration cycles of organisms are being affected, “warming has already changed the migration routes of some birds and other animals” according to Tim Hirsch of BBC.
